Hi folks,
It appears that Jack has worked out the kinks to post the March schedule. It was well beyond the capability of the remaining band guys. Thanks, Jack.
Just click on the link in the previous post and, magically, the schedule will appear.

I have not been able to write an obit for our friend Mr Bennet or post a March schedule up until now due to lack of words and lack of prowess with HTML. I have always sent entries for the Schedule and News sections of the website to our Webmeister, Mr B., and he posted them. Not possible anymore.
For the record, until we have solved the technical problems, I will be posting the March Schedule here on the talk board in the next couple of days. I also want to thank all of you who posted on the board or sent cards to Bertie and Marianne or called or sent mail to John and me expressing your heartfelt condolences. Your friendship at this time is appreciated more than you know.
God Bless. Malone

Look out your window tonight. There is a new star shining in the heavens. Mr. Bennett is playing with the angels these days, and the saints are dancing to his mandolin.

When hearing the news of Mr Bennett I was immediately saddened with sorrow. As the day passed I began thinking of the past years being in OC and sharing in his company an music. There were many fun, joyous and often hilarous memories he was part of and often created with his talents and wit. There is an old saying that ends "And the smile thats worth the praises of earth, is the smile that shines through the tears."
As for the title of one of his favorite songs goes "there's a tear in my beer." There's one in mine now but I'm smiling through it because of those memories. Thanks Mr Bennett for sharing some of you life with me and letting me be part of yours. You will be greatly missed.

This is indeed a sad day. Mr Bennett was one of the most unique people I've ever known, and the kids and I are better and richer for having him be a part of our lives. It was not only a joy but an honor to stand next to him on stage and have a man of his musical propensity regard me as a fellow musician and allow me to join in doing what he loved to do most. Jim was a great inspiration to Zack who has taken up playing all manners of stringed instruments in the footsteps of a man whose musicianship he admires. We have prayed for Jim, and we believe we did get one miracle, the chance to spend one more weekend with him this past summer. Olivia and I in our night prayers have asked that God watch over Mr Bennett, and I believe He has, and has now brought this troubadour much closer to Him, and perhaps will give Jim the opportunity to introduce a whole new audience to Waltzing with Bears. But for now, the Kazoo Family Players share in the tears of those who performed with and those who enjoyed the music of Mr Bennett.

Uncle Jim! Thinking of you, praying for you, remembering all of the wonderful joy and musical magic you brought into my life and those of others! I will always think about playing the banjo together at Granny's. Happy Thanksgiving, I am thankful for YOU! Love, Chrissy

Nancy, Kevin, John and Kim and Mason,
Your comments are humbling and really appreciated. German George and the Girls, you won the rookies of the year award, but we forgot to give it to you. It will have to wait 'til next year? You fit right in with the madness.
The show would not be possible without all of you and the Gang Next Door on the boardwalk. Dr. Bill, Pat McNamara, The Kazoo Family Players with super cool Zach and really fine Olivia, a visit from lovely Erin from Ohio, and all of the regulars, we love you.

Sunfest in Shenanigan's was such a gift. I'll say it again -- you guys were a sight for sore eyes and ears too! And, Mr. Bennett really does rock! After an uneventful summer it was pure bliss to be able to sit in the place that I love, and listen to The Boys that I love once more. Honestly, you guys probably have NO idea how excited us malone'n'hutchians get just knowing that we are headed to Shenanigan's that night to see your show! You guys were in great form and looked wonderful, and we are grateful that you came. It was heart warming to see and hear the rest of the gang again too! I agree with Kevin McDermott's comment, "Please, please, please come back next year. Shenanigans needs you. You all are, to me, what Shenanigans is all about. There is no other, and will never be any other band that can make that little bar in Ocean City come alive like you guys do." Amen. And I was so glad to hear Kevin do "Johnnie McEldoo" again with Mr. Bennett. Everyone was there. Everything was perfect. What a weekend! Thank you so much. And Mr. Bennett ROCKS!!

I gotta say, that was one of the best shows I've been to in a long time. It was as good of a reunion show s I've ever been to. Just the right crew of people for the night. It was wonderful to here the boys singin' again, with all the cameos present... 'Ol McGrath, the mainstay, the Kaloo family singers, Malone's gynacologist frieng from Virginia, and Pat McNamara. I honestly thought I'd never get to sing Johnnie McEldoo again with Mr. Bennett at Shenanigans. Thank you Mr. Bennett for being there. It wouldn't have worked without you. Can't wait to see you all again, especially once Mr. Bennett gets the beard back, or at least a Soul patch!! One last word. Please, please, please come back next year. Shenanigans needs you. You all are, to me, what Shenanigans is all about. There is no other, and will never be any other band that can make that little bar in Ocean City come alive like you guys do. By the way, did Boardwalk Elvis stop by? I saw him on Saturday morning in Ocean Pines and told him to pop in.
